General Info

We offer workshops in letterpress and screenprinting every month. No experience is necessary and they are open to anyone who wants to learn how to print. Workshops are one day and last about 6 hours. Each workshop will provide you the skills to return and rent time to print your own work during our regular studio hours. Each workshop costs $140 unless otherwise stated. Payment must be made at time of registration. Workshops are non-refundable. However, please let us know of any cancellations so that we may try to fill your spot. If you’ve missed this round, please sign up on our email list for next month’s registration announcement.

Upcoming Workshops

Tuesday, May 6th

Our long-awaited screenprinting on t-shirts workshop is returning again! Join us as we welcome Rachel Bone from Red Prairie Press to our studio to teach this workshop! Red Prairie Press is a Baltimore-based apparel company, now in it’s eighth year. Their work can be found across the country, in stores and online.

In this 3 hour workshop, we will cover single and multi-color printing with water-based inks. A single shirt will be provided for the workshop, as well as many test shirts to practice on. Attendees are encouraged to bring a 3-pack of shirts to also print on in the workshop (light-colored cotton or cotton-blend shirts are ideal).

Please note: While this workshop will cover all the basics of printing on shirts, we will not discuss or demonstrate many of the other aspects of screenprinting (coating & exposing screens, reclaiming, etc). This workshop is open to all, but anyone wishing to use our studio to expose screens or print should either have previous experience in printing, or must take our Intro to Screenprinting workshop before returning to use the shop.
