Studio rental is $15/hour. You may rent the studio if you’ve taken a full introductory workshop with us or you already know how to print. Book time on our reservations calendar. Create a username and password, and then click on the time you want to start on the calendar on any pink section (pink indicates open studio time). Pick a date and time – the calendar defaults to 2 hours but you can pick longer or shorter.
We are located in the Station North Arts & Entertainment District in Baltimore, MD. We are just a few blocks north of the Penn train station, about a 10 minute walk.

We will train you to use this safely. Maximum cut length: 26”
Provided Letterpress Supplies
BOXCAR BASES: We can accommodate almost any polymer plate size. We recommend ordering your plates from Boxcarpress.com. Use their KF95 plates to fit our bases.
INK: All of our ink is oil-based and available for studio use, but there is no guarantee we will have your color. If you need something specific, we recommend you bring it with you. When buying ink, look for either a “Litho” or “Relief” ink.
WOOD & METAL TYPE: We have many fonts for in both wood and metal type for use. Email us if you’d like to set up an appointment to peruse our collection before your project.
BRING YOUR OWN: paper, your design on a polymer plate, specific ink colors (we recommend oil-based inks).
